frequently asked questions

What makes Delilah Counseling different than other therapy practices?

If there’s one thing we hear time and time again from our clients, it’s that they didn't click with their previous therapist and are looking for something different. That’s where we come in. Each client at Delilah is given a hands-on and evidence-based approach to therapy.

Although each clinician at Delilah specializes in a particular area and has her own set of skills, techniques and abilities, each experience is collaborative and active.

We utilize handouts, books, podcasts, art materials, music therapy approaches, journaling, and more to ensure that our clients are receiving care that feels productive and worthwhile. Our hope is that, when clients leave our practice, they don’t wonder if they’re making progress or reaching personal goals. They know. Click here to learn more.

How do I know if I need therapy?

We are biased and believe anyone and everyone can benefit from some form of individual therapy. However, noticing that you aren’t feeling like yourself could be an initial sign. Crying more often than usual, feeling unmotivated, worrying too much, trouble sleeping, having issues with relationships, experiencing a stressful event are just a few examples. Click here to speak with a therapist and learn more about if therapy is right for you.

Do you take insurance?

We do not accept insurance, but we understand that payment is a major point of consideration for many of our clients. We are able to send receipts in the form of Superbills to your insurance company for reimbursement.

In an effort to ensure that payment is not a barrier for clients seeking therapy, we do offer a sliding scale for ALL clients which range from $90-$150 based on annual household income. Click here to check your rate for therapy at Delilah.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We take all major credit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards. We require all clients to keep a card on file via our HIPAA-compliant platform.

How often do you see clients for therapy?

At Delilah, we recognize that each client is in a different place with their therapeutic journey and with uncovering their story. While we recommend that clients are seen weekly at the beginning of your therapeutic process, we work to help you learn the skills necessary to gain autonomy and participate in sessions less often as you grow in therapy.

Clients at Delilah are seen as often as once per week while others are seen as often as once per month, once every 3-6 months, or on an as needed basis.
